Improved catalyst formulations for the conversion of glycerol to bio-based aromatics

The catalytic conversion of glycerol to aromatics (GTA, e.g ., benzene, toluene, and xylenes, BTX) over a shaped H-ZSM-5/Al 2 O 3 (60/40 wt%) catalyst was investigated in continuous fixed-bed reactor study the addition Al binder formulation on performance. experiments were performed under N at 550 °C, WHSV (pure) 1 h ?1 , atmospheric pressure. spent catalysts reused after an oxidative regeneration 680 °C total 5 reaction-regeneration cycles performed.
